Update: 12:45PM TROPICAL Disturbance, TD07F, currently to the far west northwest of Fiji near Vanuatu is expected to move towards Fiji and may gradually intesify into a depression and possibly affect the group from Thursday.

This has been confirmed in the special weather bulletin number 54 on heavy rain issued from RSMC in NADI this morning.

However, a heavy rain warning remains in force for Vanua Levu, Taveuni, Kadavu, Lau, Lomaiviti Group, Yasawa and Mamanuca Group, Northern and Western parts of Viti Levu.

There is also a heavy rain alert force for the rest of Fiji.

The bulletin says dominant moist north-westerly wind flow prevails over Fiji with the trough of low pressure just to the west of the country.

Meanwhile, Tropical Depression 08F lies slow moving just to the south of Fiji and is moving south away from the group.
