Weather watch: Flood alert for areas downstream of Dreketilailai station

Update: 5:26PM A FLOOD ALERT is now in force for the low lying areas, small streams and areas downstream of Dreketilailai station to Qawa River.

The special weather bulletin number 33 for flood issued from RSMC in NADI at 4.30pm this afternoon confirmed this saying a flood alert remains in force for all low lying areas and small streams for Vanua Levu and Taveuni.

The river level at Dreketilailai station was 2.6m at 4pm which is 0.1m above alert level and increasing.
