Business house netball to promote wellness in workplace

Update: 4:57PM PROMOTING health and wellness in the workplace is the motivating factor behind the upcoming Fiji Sports Council's business house netball weekly competition.

Twenty-four teams are encouraged to register by February 16 to have a chance to win the $500 prize money up for grabs at this year's event.

Games coordinator Gabrielli Qoro said the games is to ensure the participation of teams from various business houses as it not only promotes health and wellness but it also ensures the active involvement and interaction of organisation staff through sports thus enhances employee relations.

"We will only accommodate the first 24 teams that pay their full registration fees of $200 by February 16 and only staff members of each organisation, is allowed to play in this tournament," he said.

The event is planned to begin by March 1 and will take place weekly until April.

The prize money for this year's event has also increased with $500 to be awarded to the winning team, $300 to the runner up and $200 for third place.
