UN Human Rights Commissioner to visit Fiji

Update: 4:53PM THE United Nations Commissioner on Human Rights Zeid Ra'ad Al Hussein will make a visit to Fiji soon.

Mr Hussein's visit is to hold talks with Fijian Government officials on the country's human rights status.

During his visit, he is expected to meet President Jioji Konrote, Prime Minister Voreqe Bainimarama, Attorney General Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum and other government officials.

The UN commissioner is due to deliver a public lecture at the University of the South Pacific on Saturday, February, 10, 2018.
