Northerners urged to stay safe

Update: 4:47PM MEMBERS of the public in the North have been urged to stay safe during these days of rainy weather.

Police spokesperson Ana Naisoro said people should adopt the necessary safety measures in light of flash flooding in some areas.

"Certain roads around Labasa area have been flooded and the roads include Siberia-Road (only accessible to 4x4 vehicles), Nagigi Flats, (half road flooded), Urata, Boubale and Dreketilailai Bridge is not accessible to all traffic," she said.

"Wainikoro Flats still flooded."
