Students encouraged to learn more than one language

Update: 3:22PM HEALTH Minister Rosy Akbar has encouraged students of Suva Muslim College to learn more than one language.

Ms Akbar who was chief guest at the school's prefect induction today said living in a country that is multicultural, it is important that Fijians learn to speak other languages.

She said she has always regretted not learning iTaukei but is willing to learn it, as her job requires her to meet people from all kinds of background.

Meanwhile, parents, friends, and teachers of the Nabua based school today witnessed more than 50 students handed leadership badges over the student body of the school.

The prefects induction ceremony also featured class captains and their assistants receiving their badges.
