Update: 12:35PM RESIDENTS living along Boca, Boubale and Urata in Bulileka, Labasa, waded across flooded roads this morning in trying to get their destinations.

Boubale resident, Alipate Vosabula said flooded bridges and portions of other roads on those areas have become  normal for them and at the same time a huge worry to residents.

"This portion of the road  always submerged during the slightest rain and this is the time where we always warn our children to stay indoors," he said.

Another resident, Shiv Kumar said he has five children and all attend Bulieka Primary School and Bulileka Sanatan College and he has stopped them from going to school after seeing the flooded bridge.

"My children's safety is important to me and keeping them at home is what I'll do and they can return to school when the flood goes down," he said.
