THE Raiwai Volleyball Association has extended its invitation to the various clubs in Raiwai to join the association for the 2018 Volleyball season.

President Francis Lanyon said with the number of tournaments aligned, he hoped to take Raiwai to the next stage of competition.

"Raiwai has groomed a number of national reps in the past years and our aim is to bring in more youngsters, teach them the basic skills and expose them to the national competition," he said.

"The Vulaca championship is next on line before the main which is the Oceania Cup championship hosted here in Fiji.

"We're calling on all teams to come and register. The registration fee is $100, we don't have a lot of time.

"Come in, register this weekend and we will go straight to our opening knockout next weekend.

"We want to put in a good team to play in the upcoming competitions.

"We were once the national champions but so far we've not been producing good players and our aim is to get Raiwai back to the spotlight."

For any queries, contact Mrs Filimaina Serukalou (RVA secretary) on 293 8994.

Lanyon said they were also looking for sponsors to help them run their weekly competitions.

"So far we've got seven men's team and six women's team to kickstart our competition."
