FCCC undergo AW System training

Sunday, February 04, 2018

Update: 2:56PM THE Fijian Competition and Consumer Commission (FCCC) staff were part of a training last Wednesday that will help FCCC gain access to real-time data on importation of goods by their stakeholders.

This data will allow FCCC to effectively monitor the Fijian market and identify unfair trade practices.

The ASYCUDA WORLD (AW) System training was held on January 31, 2018 at the Fiji Revenue and Customs Service (FRCS) in Suva.

This is in line with the FRCS (Budget Amendment) Bill 2017 which amended section 52(4) of the FRCA Act to include FCCC as an organisation with whom FRCS can share information.

FCCC CEO Joel Abraham said the AW System will improve FCCCs efficiency.
