A HEAVY RAIN WARNING REMAINS IN FORCE FOR THE FIJI GROUP.

For more information refer to: www.met.gov.fj/aifs_prods/20014.txt A FLOOD ALERT REMAINS IN FORCE FOR ALL LOW LYING AREAS , SMALL STREAMS AND AREAS ADJACENT TO MAJOR RIVERS FOR THE WHOLE OF FIJI.

For more information refer to: www.met.gov.fj/aifs_prods/20016.txt Situation: Tropical Disturbance [TD08F] with an associated active trough of low pressure remains slow moving over the Fiji group. Associated cloud and rain affects the country.

Forecast to midnight tonight for the Fiji group: Occasional rain, heavy at times and few thunderstorms over most places. Rain and thunderstorms becoming frequent and heavy tonight. Localised heavy falls may lead to flash flooding of low lying areas. Moderate to fresh southwest to northeast winds, gusty at times. Moderate to rough seas.

Outlook for Monday : Periods of rain, heavy at times and few squally thunderstorms over most places.

For Navua / Suva / Nausori : Occasional rain, heavy at times and few thunderstorms. Rain and thunderstorms becoming frequent and heavy tonight. Outlook for Monday : Periods of rain, heavy at times and few squally thunderstorms over most places.

For Nadi / Lautoka / Ba : Occasional rain, heavy at times and few thunderstorms. Rain and thunderstorms becoming frequent and heavy tonight. Outlook for Monday : Periods of rain, heavy at times and few squally thunderstorms over most places.

For Labasa : Occasional rain, heavy at times and few thunderstorms. Rain and thunderstorms becoming frequent and heavy tonight. Outlook for Monday : Periods of rain, heavy at times and few squally thunderstorms over most places.

For Savusavu : Occasional rain, heavy at times and few thunderstorms. Rain and thunderstorms becoming frequent and heavy tonight. Outlook for Monday : Periods of rain, heavy at times and few squally thunderstorms over most places.

For Rotuma : A STRONG WIND WARNING REMAINS IN FORCE FOR THE LAND AREAS AND WATERS OF ROTUMA. Situation: An active trough of low pressure with associated rain and thunderstorms affects Rotuma.

Over Land: North to northwest winds 40 km/hr to 55 km/hr, gusty at times.

Over Waters: North to northwest winds 20 to 30 knots, gusty at times. Rough to very rough seas. Periods of heavy rain and squally thunderstorms.

Outlook for Monday : Rain and thunderstorms continuing.

A STRONG WIND WARNING REMAINS IN FORCE FOR VANUA LEVU WATERS, NORTHERN LAU WATERS AND VATU-I-RA PASSAGE.

Situation: Tropical Disturbance [TD08F] with an associated active trough of low pressure remains slow moving over the Fiji group. Associated cloud and rain affects the country.

Forecast to 6am tomorrow for Fiji waters: For Vanua Levu waters, Northern Lau waters and Vatu-i-ra Passage: Northerly winds 20 to 30 knots. Rough to very rough seas. Moderate northwesterly swells. Poor visibility in areas of heavy rain and thunderstorms.

Further outlook: Northerly winds 25 to 30 knots. Very rough seas. Moderate northwesterly swells.

For the rest of Fiji Waters: Southwest to northeast winds 15 to 20 knots. Winds gusty at times. Moderate to rough seas. Moderate southerly swells. Poor visibility in areas of heavy rain and thunderstorms.

Further outlook: Southeast to northerly winds 20 to 25 knots, gusty at times. Rough seas. Moderate southerly swells.
