Spinal injury victim receives new home

Saturday, February 03, 2018

Update: 3:56PM SEKONAIA Kotobalavu was all smiles as he entered his $24,108 home donated to him by the Viti Spinal Injuries Association.

Mr Kotobalavu,31, before moving into his one bedroom house located along Kalabu Road in Nasinu, lived with his parents at Wailea squatter settlement which he said was only making his condition worse.

Mr Kotobalavu sustained injuries which changed his life forever when he was 19-years-old during a swimming incident in Macuata, Vanua Levu, in 2002, which left him bedridden ever since.

"Wow! this is amazing. I'm so thankful to the Viti Spinal Injuries Association. We only witness Extreme House Make-Up in the USA on TV, but this is our Fiji version and I'm so thankful. Words cannot express how happy I am," Mr Kotobalavu said.
