Heavy downpour affects Western roads

REPEKA NASIKO
Saturday, February 03, 2018

Update: 2:03PM TWO roads in the Western Division were affected by heavy rainfall this morning.

According to the Fiji Roads Authority, travellers along Nadarivatu Road near Tavua should exercise caution when moving along the Balata Flat due to the impact of the recent downpour.

The second area completely closed off to traffic is the Kings Highway at Rabulu Village also in Tavua.

The authority revealed the road was closed to all traffic due to flooding and would be accessible once flood waters receded.

Members of the public have been advised to exercise caution when travelling through flooded areas.
