Hamilton 7s

Suresh Chand, Nadi
Saturday, February 03, 2018

As I pen this letter, the Fiji Airways Fiji 7s team to play in Hamilton was yet to be named by coach Gareth Baber. The amount of criticism heard regarding the team's performance in Sydney last week, I am sure the coach and players will try very hard not to let us down this week.

It is a mammoth task but not impossible for the Fijians who play the abbreviated code exceptionally well in all circumstances.

Many a times, we have seen that luck is not on our side. This week Baber will surely want to win the Hamilton battle to prove his critics wrong.

We know he is a hard working coach but all depends on the executioners he puts on the field.

A win in Hamilton will not only improve our ranking but also alleviate the attack on the coach. We are bracing for a water cut in Nadi but will nonetheless cheer our team to victory this weekend.

Let us all rally behind the coach and team.
