BA will miss the services of two key players for the upcoming Oceania Football Confederation (OFC) Champions League and remainder of the 2017-2018 local season.

This is after rugged defender Remueru Takiate and striker Josefata Neibuli applied for transfers to other districts.

Takiate, who captained Fiji in the historic first international friendly against Estonia last November, is set to join Suva while Neibuli has moved to Rewa.

Former Ba and national coach Yogendra Dutt has joined the Men in Black's coaching department as technical advisor.

Dutt, who has a wealth of experience guiding the various national age-group teams and as well as Lautoka and Nadi, is helping Ba coach Roneel Kumar to form the best combinations.

Ba has signed up three players from overseas to boost its campaign for the OFC Champions League.

They are Troy Watson a midfielder from Detroit City FC, Nathan Brown a striker from the Akron Zips which represents the University of Akron and Amal Singh a defender from Concordia University.

Ba is in Group A with Lae City Dwellers (Papua New Guinea), Nalkutan FC (Vanuatu) and Cook Islands club champions Tupapa Maraerenga.

Ba team manager Arvind Singh said the team would leave for Vanuatu on February 7 with the first round of matches starting on February 10.

"The boys are in camp," Singh said.

"The coaching staff has been working on the fitness level of the players and trying out the different combinations.

"The overseas players have settled well. After the OFC Champions League we will get more of our youth boys into the senior squad.

"It will give them a break and get a feel of the high level competition.

"Ba will be relying on local talents."

Ba will face Nakultan FC in their opening encounter.
