THE Billiards and Snooker Association of Fiji (BSAF) has reverted to the top 16 ranked player format for the Pillay Garments Champion of Champions (COC) which will be held at the Merchants Club in Suva from February 17-18.

Initially the BSAF had decided to introduce a new format where the winners of the four rankings tournaments in 2017 gained automatic entry into the COC together with the next best ranked players to take up ten spots with two wild card entries to make the 16 players roster.

BSAF president Riffat Bhatti said the new format proved to be a bit complicated.

"We have decided to make things easy and invite the top 16 ranked players to participate in the COC," he said.

"Rahil Prasad who won the first rankings championship for 2017 will also defend the COC title. Walter Robinson who finished as the Fiji number one is a favourite in the event along with Jitendra Prasad and Sahil Prasad who finished in the top three.

"The date for the COC has been set and the draws will be released soon."
