Fifty charged with serious crime

Update: 5:36PM MORE than 50 people were charged by the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions (ODPP) for serious offences last month.

This was revealed in the Serious Crimes statistics released by the ODPP today.

According to the statistics, 56 people were charged for 63 separate incidents last month, of which five juveniles charged with aggravated robbery and theft offences.

There  were  41  victims  of  the  63  counts  of  separate  incidents of which five incidents  where  the  accused  and  victims  were  related  to  one  another.

This data is  confined  to  incidents  of  serious crimes  other  than  sexual  violence  offences  which  are recorded  and  published  separately.
