Tuivasa-Sheck agent rubbishes report

Reports Warriors captain and Kiwis rugby league star Roger Tuivasa-Sheck is looking to switch to union in time for the 2019 Rugby World Cup have been scorned by his agent.

A New Zealand Rugby deal with Tuivasa-Sheck, who would shift to the Blues, was understood to be "all but done", Radio New Zealand reported on Thursday morning. Some senior Warriors were aware of the move, RNZ reported, despite the talented fullback not having told the team.

NZR sources have said no discussions had been held, and the fullback would have to take a pay cut to join the code.

And Tuivasa-Sheck's manager Bruce Sharrock said: "it's another case of journalistic sensationalism and this is one of the reasons why we don't speak to people".

"I can tell you categorically, I've not even spoken to the Blues," Sharrock said. NZR centrally contracts players.

The 24-year-old is off contract with the Warriors following the 2018 season.
