Party talks to people about manifesto

TALEBULA KATE
Thursday, February 01, 2018

Update: 6:06PM RESPONSES from the people are being considered in preparing the manifesto of the Unity Fiji party.

Party leader Savenaca Narube says they have been holding consultations with communities around the country and members of the public are welcomed to use the partys social media and website to provide feedback and hold an interactive session with the party officials.

"All these feedback and consultations will be taken into account in finalising our manifesto," Mr Narube said.

He said the party close to being ready for an early election.

"We recently closed the expression of interest of our candidates and we are now processing the applications," he said.

"We hope to announce our candidates and also release our party manifesto, if all goes well, by mid-February. However, the most important issue of the date of the elections is yet to be disclosed. We will therefore adjust our plans if the elections are held later in the year."
