CHOOSING a career is a huge challenge for school leavers and those seeking a change to their career path.

Deciding what job interests them, finding out what training is available and selecting the right training institute is a big responsibility.

Advance Aviation Training (Fiji) Ltd (A.A.T) is registered with the Fiji Higher Education Commission and certified by the Civil Aviation Authority of Fiji (CAAF). Based in the AFL compound, A.A.T. has been operating since 2002 utilising single engine and twin-engine aircraft exclusively for flight training. A fleet consisting of Cessna 150s, 172s and Partenavia P68, the aircraft are based at the A.A.T. hangar within the CAAF compound.

A.A.T is currently moving operations temporarily to the formerly known Pacific Sun hangar in AFL compound. The construction of a new flight training facility will commence early this year. During this time A.A.T is still conducting flight training and accepting enrolments into courses.

Courses include Private Pilot Licences (PPL), Commercial Pilot Licences (CPL), Airline Transport Pilot Licence theory (ATPL) as well as twin engine endorsements, instrument ratings and instructor ratings.

Working in conjunction with Advanced Flight Theory (AFT) from Australia, they provide ATPL theory classes with Nathan Higgins, an ATPL specialist.

AAT has dedicated professional ground instructors who offer personalised tuition for small class groups.

Computer based training can also be used for many of the subjects taught.

The DCX Pro-Motion Flight Simulator for instrument training. The first of its kind in Fiji, this motion flight simulator provides a new level to the flight training experience.

AAT helps ensure students achieve their goal to be a professional pilot. There are airlines seeking pilots in Fiji, throughout the Pacific and around the world, so what better time to learn to fly than now!
