Water situation: Scheduled disruption for parts of Lautoka

Update: 3:01PM RESIDENTS living in parts of Lautoka are advised to start storing water for a scheduled water disruption from tonight.

This is in preparation for the planned shutdown on February 3, of which the Saru system will be supplying the Lautoka Main Commercial areas and hospital.

In a statement, the Water Authority of Fiji (WAF) said in order to confirm the flow from Phluggers to the hospital, the WAF team plans to carry out a trial run tonight (January 31) from 9pm until 1am tomorrow, February 1.

The affected areas include Ba provincial/Kashmir, Kermode, Sukanaivalu, Ram Asre, Natabua, Field 40, Banaras, Wairabetia, Vuda back road and Viseisei back road.
