Nausori irrigation back road upgrade

Tuesday, January 30, 2018

Update: 12:01PM RESIDENTS of Irrigation Back Road in Nausori can now easily go about their businesses with the road upgrade by the Fulton Hogan Hiways (FHH).

FHH Rewa Supervisor, Ulaiasi Bolalailai, said the maintenance crew from the FHH Rewa Depot in Nausori have removed high shoulders, graded and laid and compacted gravel on the one-kilometre-long road.

They have also cleaned out vegetation debris from the roadside drainage.

Vegetable farmer, Mohammed Sayhid, said before the upgrade the road was not accessible to vehicles, including carriers and four-wheel drives.

FHH is contracted by Fiji Roads Authority to maintain the unsealed and sealed road networks in the Northern Division.
