Update: 3:50PM A TROPICAL Cyclone Fehi was located near New Caledonia earlier today and is moving further down.

According to the latest weather report from the Fiji Meteorological Service issued this past hour, Tropical Cyclone which has a centre of 986HPA, the strength of a category 1 cyclone was located near 19.5S and 162.3E earlier today.

At this position, the cyclone is moving southeast at 13 knots and picking up speed. 

Close to the cyclone, one can expect winds of 45knots.

By midnight tonight, the cyclones location should be at 21.2S 163.2E and by tomorrow it should be closer to 23.7S 163.9E.

The Regional Meteorological Service (RSMC)asks that all vessels within 300 nautical miles of the centre send reports every three hours using normal channels.
