GOOD news for people in rural areas after Government confirmed there are no deadlines for applications for free water tanks.

Speaking during Prime Minister Voreqe Bainimarama's talanoa session at Navakawau, Taveuni, last Wednesday, Commissioner Northern Jovesa Vocea told people the applications for free tanks would continue.

"The applications for free water tanks will not stop and it is still continuing," he said. "Government does not intend to stop it and people can still apply for free water tanks, but we will prioritise assistance."

Mr Vocea was responding to questions raised by Taveuni resident Josephine Taylor regarding applications for free water tanks.
