THE Fiji Airways Fiji 7s side has dropped to fifth place on the 2017-2018 HSBC World Rugby Sevens Series standings after the Sydney 7s in Australia last night.

After losing 7-31 to New Zealand during the fifth place final in Sydney last night, the Jerry Tuwai-captained side heads to the next leg of the series in Hamilton with 40 points.

South Africa leads the series with 58 points, four points ahead of New Zealand while Sydney 7s champions Australia is on 43 points. Argentina has 41 points. n More reports in Sports
