TEAMS participating in the RES-sponsored Fiji Masters 10s tournament at the Mount Saint Mary's Ground in Nadi yesterday received $100 grant each to participate in more upcoming events .

The tournament was for players over the age of 38 years.

The tournament co-ordinator, Epineri Susu, said they were promoting a healthy living life, creating awareness on non-communicable diseases and prostate cancer.

Susu said the Fiji Masters 10s was a series throughout the year.

"This was our first tournament. After this the Big Bula Park Denarau Lions team will be selected to participate at Darwin 10s in March.

"After that there will be 10s tournaments organised monthly. A big $10,000 tournament is planned for September.

"We are grateful to Kim Healy of the Australian based RES company for supporting the tournament and also Trevor Fox of Big Bula Water Park for sponsoring the Denarau Lions team to Darwin."
