TWO teams have joined Tailevu Rugby Union for the 2018 season.

Interim president John Whippy confirmed the teams are Talele and Kasavu from Naitasiri.

"Talele have been released from Naitasiri Rugby Union and they want to play for us," he said.

"This year is going to be a good year for us because we've put down a program to go until 2020 and we're working towards it.

"This is our first 10s competition named after the late Ratu Jo Bose Tagicakibau who died last week. He was one of the executives and his elder brother, the Taukei Vuniivivi, Komai Nausori, Ratu Lepani Tagicakibau is sponsoring this tournament.

"This is going to be held every year. We are concentrating on all our club teams and when we look after them, they keep coming back.

"We need to do our job well and look after them, so I am calling all Tailevu people to support our provincial team.

"This is a good sign, having 24 teams and we will continue the momentum with our club competition and our finals next week."

Early results from the Tailevu 10s yesterday saw Kasavu beating Naila 26-0, Korocawiri 12-19 Nuku, Vunivaivai 14-5 Buretu, Mokani 17- 0 Namata.
