Saturday, January 27, 2018

Update: 9:08PM AS CONTROVERSIAL as tries go, it was a last minute effort from Josua Vakurunabili that gave Fiji its last minute win against New Zealand 19-17 at the HSBC Sydney 7s.

Having received advise from both linesmen of a faulty try, referee Craig Evans had to consult the video referee before awarding the try.

Fiji had led by a thread at half time with two tries which came from Amenoni Nasilasila, both of which he converted.

New Zealand gave Fiji a try for a try one each to Andrew Knewstubb and Regan Ware and had gained a lead for a couple of minutes following a 10th
