Saturday, January 27, 2018

Update: 11:08AM THE Intercontinental Fiji Golf Resort and Spa have prepared cultural enhancements at the resort to ensure guests are enriched when celebrating the upcoming Chinese Lunar New Year next month.

Area general manager at the resort, Andrew Davidson said enhancements made to ensure guests felt  more at home include increased Chinese menu offerings across their dining outlets, additional Chinese television stations, as well as more comprehensive Chinese welcome packs to Chinese guests arriving.

"We are also very excited to have recently welcomed our Mandarin speaking Guest Services Agent, Ms Wen, Chon Hi Shandy. Shandy is fluent in both Mandarin and English and is a welcomed addition to our team as she adds another dimension of exceptional service that we know will be appreciated by our Chinese guests" said Mr Davidson.

Staff have also been trained to understand Chinese guest's cultural values and traditions in order to anticipate service needs when celebrations take place.

The Resort undertook a revamp in services to qualify for the InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) China Ready branding.
