THE Fiji Airways 7s team management has asked team supporters to be patient and understand that the team is improving and will be back to their usual best in not distant feature.

Team coach Gareth Baber said like the fans, he also didn't like losing.

Fiji failed in their opening two campaigns in Dubai and South Africa and Baber has said they would be looking to win their first tournament in Sydney.

"It's been tough and no one likes losing, especially me," the former Wales 7s international said.

"It's was the first two tournaments and there is chance for us here to change things around.

"Everyone wants to see the players lift their game to what they expect them to perform.

"The team is getting there and we will get back up there. The competition level is high," Baber said.

Fiji after the Dubai and South Africa leg of the 2017/2018 HSBC World Rugby Sevens Series is in third spot behind New Zealand and South Africa.
