Marist confirms events

MARIST Volleyball has confirmed it will host another tournament in June this year.

Tournament co-ordinator Koli Korovulavula said this weekend's tournament was to cover the one which was postponed last year.

"We had to postpone last year's tournament because they were doing up the gym," he said.

The Bula FM Marist Volleyball tournament started yesterday at the Vodafone Arena in Suva. Nineteen men's and 10 women's team are part of the two-day competition, which concludes this afternoon.

Korovulavula said the teams looked competitive.

The eliminations were underway last night when this edition went to press. The quarter-finals of the men's competition and the women's semi-finals are scheduled for this morning.

The finals are expected to start at 3.30pm.
