Gazetted base

Gulsher Ali, Lautoka
Thursday, December 07, 2017

Few taxis have been shifted to their gazetted bases in particular from Namaka to Nasilivata industrial area while most taxis are seen operating outside their allocated bases in Nadi.

I believe illegal operators are making easy money operating from customers' parking lots in Namaka, especially outside supermarkets.

They approach customers asking them if they wish to hire their vehicles when customers finish their shopping. Customers are left with no option.

Taxis operating from their gazetted base are located far away from the busy business area and how do these drivers earn daily is a question.

Minister sir, I believe this is a joke.

I believe Namaka is thriving and more bases can be allocated for operators.

Allocate bases where the demand is and it doesn't take a genius to understand this.

No sir, I don't have a taxi neither I drive but I am a customer who always looks for a public service vehicle for service.
