7s loss

A friend of ours kicked and broke a vase after our semifinal loss to South Africa. Good thing the lady of the house was asleep or we would have been chased with our basin of grog. Hahaha.

English usage

Many of your writers seem intent on introducing the French word "artiste" for the commonly understood "artist". Why is this? French "artiste" = English "artist".

Eating place

I believe Lautoka City Council can build a fly screened structure for workers at the Vunato rubbish dump to enjoy lunch instead of eating under the tree and dancing with the flies.

Action plan

Our Olympics and World Series back to back wins were achieved on a strong and passionate action plan. We had a super charged coach who knew his players, their food and diet, the players' strength and weakness (after talking to immediate next of kin), had a backline and skills coach, had a kicking coach, had no X-factor in the team and above all he had strong bond and competition in his team. In the past 16 months to that famous Olympics victory we are yet to see on any of the above. Please can we have some special mana magic with an action plan. Sacrifice brings success.

Dump fire

Like clockwork the Vunato dump is on fire again. Vandals? Could be. We have to ask why they burn the dump. Aha, now that we chair COP23 we have a saviour who can answer my question. Sir, do you have an answer?

COP23 bash

I have always believed that time will bring everything to light. I believe the cancellation of the celebration was through the collective voice of the people.

Tree planting

I wonder if we have achieved planting one million trees seedlings? Now is the best time to do tree planting because the weather pattern we are experiencing is somewhat like an entry into La Nina weather pattern. I would urge all fellow Fijians to continue to plant trees. They lessen heat produced by gas and carbon emissions. We human beings are solely responsible for global warming. Plant more trees to save our planet.
