Rewa House wins golf title

REWA House is the new winner for the QVSOB Druavesi Golf Tournament having a combined score of 117.65.

First runner-up was Tovata House with a score of 118, Verata House with 121 and Bau House with 126.25.

Rewa House was captained by Niumaia Tabunakawai and supported by former judge Filimoni Jitoko.

Tovata House was captained by BSP Life's , Malakai Naiyaga.

Bau House was captained by RFMF Commander Viliame Naupoto while Verata House was captained by former Reserve Bank of Fiji governor, Savenaca Narube.

Fifteen teams comprising more than 65 golfers participated in the 18 holes 25th QVSOB Druavesi Golf Tournament at the Fiji Golf Club course on Friday.

"Apart from the 65 participants, we have a good number of young QVS old boys who are attending tertiary institutions who volunteered to assist in the organisation and also caddie to their house teams providing moral support and learning the sports," tournament director, Cama Raimuri said.

Former scholar Jope Tuivanuavou, a prostate cancer champion shared with participants on the deadly prostate cancer and the need for men to see the reality and impact of cancer.

"In recognition of Fiji's Prime Minister Chairmanship at the recent Cop23 which was held in Bonn Germany, we planted 10 yasi trees at the Fiji Golf Club course. It is our contribution in reducing carbon emission."
