FIJI Table Tennis Association president Anthony Ho is calling on players to be committed and stay focused during the 2017 Pacific Mini Games in Vanuatu.

Ho said the players had shown a lot of commitment and dedication during training.

"The players were given a lot of high level competition. At the end of the day, it depends on the players.

"The Fiji table tennis team consists of sisters Sally and Grace Yee, Qi Wang, Philip Wing, Vicky Wu, Young Jae Park, Xuan Li, Harvi Yee, Iakoba Taubakoa, John Christopher, Merewalesi Roden and Akanisi Latu."

He said FTTA was grateful to the various organisations which helped the players.

"I thank the Fijian Government and FASANOC for all the support they have given to us over the past two years as we have been preparing for the past number of years," he said.

"We thank International Table Tennis Federation for awarding some scholarships and the Japanese Olympic Committee.

The first wave of Team Fiji contingent left for Vanuatu on the weekend with the second batch to leave soon.
