THE Fiji Taekwondo Federation aims to prepare well for the 2019 Pacific Games in Samoa and the Tokyo Olympics in 2020 in Japan.

Master Sang Hy Un Ra said they had laid the foundation for their participants if they want to make the final cut.

"The Korean Ambassadors Cup competition is a good platform for our children to learn as much as they can if they want to make it to this to world tournament," he said.

"On Monday I'll be leaving with two participants for a world tournament in Korea. It will be a great trip for the girls to learn more about tae kwon do.

"We are getting in children from the age of five to our older participants because we want them to lean about discipline and respect. We're moulding future medal prospects for the Pacific Games and the Olympic and this is where it all begins."

He said they started with a small group in 2013 and four years later they had formed a federation all across of Fiji.
