Ready to rumble

As we read today's newspaper, 7s fans would have seen the performance of our 7s warriors in the glamorous city of Dubai.

Fiji would be tipped to top its pool and advance into the cup quarter-final, where our boys could play Scotland or France.

I'd tick France simply because they have a coach who is capable of plotting a map to beat some top teams in the WRSS.

If we can conquer the quarter-final phase then we got some exciting news and the possibility of taking on the highly ranked Springboks in the semis.

If our boys do not want to have an early showdown against the reigning champions then there's no harm in losing to Australia in the last pool match and going down to meet England in the quarters.

We win that match and there's every possibility that we could take on the All Blacks, in a repeat of the Oceania 7s final.

Then the exciting repeat of last year's final against the Boks.

I have been following Sikeli's stories from Dubai and I am confident that our warriors have guts and confidence to tame and skin the Boks.

By the way, thank you for the article on Eroni Sau. It reminded me of how I used to sneak away from home to enjoy a game of soccer with my primary school mates in Savusavu.

Vinaka vakalevu Sikeli and The Fiji Times for all the excitement from Dubai!

It just adds flavor to top the week long battle.

The pool games are over and let's wish our heroes all the best for the elimination showdown.

As I celebrate my special day today, I can only wish that I get the icing on the cake in the form of the Dubai 7s cup.

All the best team Fiji!

With a positive attitude, hard work and team bonding, a win is possible!
