LACK of resources is one of the reasons the Fiji Airways Women's 7s team failed to deliver during the Emirates Dubai 7s.

The Iliesa Tanivula-coached side ended the day without registering a win much to the disappointment of fans who travelled from countries as far as Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Australia and Fiji.

"We had a disappointing start. Started off the first game we did not lay the platform to the tournament and it was an uphill battle for us, something for us to learn and we just need to go back home and reset and see where we can do better before Sydney."

When asked is the team prepared well Tanivula said, "It is what it is, we have got to deal with what we got, we can't complain much, we don't have the resources. You know we have support from Fiji Rugby Union and we can't complaint we just got to get on with it."

The Fiji men's team arrived in Dubai a week earlier for the tournament, while the women's team arrived just two days before the tournament started.

When asked whether the women's team should also get the same level of support as the men's team Tanivula said, "I cannot comment on that matter.

"Conditioning is a major factor for us in this tournament, we committed a lot of mistakes, made a lot of poor decisions when under pressure and it mostly comes back to conditioning, so we just got to work hard."

Fiji lost 20-12 to Ireland in its first pool game, 19-5 to Spain and Canada 19-7 in the final pool game.
