Search for new CEO

THE recruitment for a new chief executive officer for Telecom Fiji Ltd is in progress as the contract for Mothilal De Silva comes to an end on December 31.

A statement from TFL through the South Pacific Stock Exchange said Mr De Silva had been with the company since 2013.

Mr De Silva was appointed with his expertise aimed to enhance TFL's strategic position in the market.

Mr De Silva had replaced Rohan Mail who resigned as CEO in December 2011 after seventeen months in the post.

The TFL board acknowledged Mr De Silva's hard work and contribution to the company over the past four years in transforming TFL and preparing the company for growth.

General manager business sales and retail, Charles Gounder will assume responsibilities as acting CEO until an appointment is made.
