AMALGAMATED Telecom Holdings Ltd and its group companies recorded and interim and unaudited consolidated profit of $35.19 million for the half year ending September 30.

A statement from the group said the profit was an increase of 8.7 per cent compared with $32.36m recorded for the same period last year.

It said sales revenue for the group recorded a significant increase by 18 per cent to $232.70m with Vodafone Fiji Ltd continuing to be the main revenue contributor to the group.

Apart from sales the overall total costs for the group closed at $183m.

The group believes the growth resulted from satisfactory performance across companies in the group and after regional acquisition earlier during the year, this period records the full result and performance of ATH new subsidiary, Telecom Vanuatu Ltd.
