SHOPPER for the week Sharoneel Deo would like to see a lot of changes made at supermarkets or shops in Fiji that would assist customers to shop smart.

Mr Deo said he would like to see customers choose more Fijian grown and Fijian made products when they shop because it would contribute to more Fijian livelihoods in the country.

"I would like to see more customers using shopping lists more often when going grocery shopping because it helps in getting what you need and avoids unnecessary spending," he said.

"It's important to compare prices and to carefully decide what you want to buy when going out shopping."

He said his favourite dish would be a delicious lovo meal.

"Most people know how to make lovo, but if you try to use fresh prawns with garlic, onions and herbs and fresh lolo (coconut milk) in a pot and cover together with your lovo dish, you would sure be in for a treat when it's ready.

"There is no secret behind it but I guarantee that this dish will please your taste," he said.

Mr Deo's grocery list normally consists of fresh fruits and vegetables, frozen foods, healthy snacks and other necessary items.

He says he loves to cook and he makes time for all this outdoor activities because it contributes to his healthy life.
