ONE of the senior players in the Fiji Airways Fiji 7s team, Jasa Veremalua believes the team has prepared very well for this weekend's Emirates Dubai 7s.

On his fourth tour to Dubai, Jasa said the team had been together since their off-season started two months ago when they participated in invitational tournaments in Australia and Europe.

"There were two teams playing in the invitational tournaments and the team management have selected the best of the best from the two teams.

"We want a good start and we want to win Dubai because this will set the benchmark and lay the platform for next year's Commonwealth Games and not forgetting the Sevens World Cup."

With new faces such as Eroni Sau and Apenisa Cakaubalavu set to make their debut this weekend, Jasa said they needed to remain calm and not be easily intimidated.

"The main distraction here is the crowd, we have been telling the players not to be intimidated by the crowd, show them why you were selected, keep doing what you are doing that earned you your selection and everything will all go according to plan.
