Strict laws

I strongly urge Shamima Ali to make a strong stand against extramarital affairs which I believe is the root cause of all domestic violence in Fiji. We need laws to eradicate this cause and probably we will somehow witness a decrease in domestic violence.

Check reality

I believe every effort must be made to rebuild remaining schools damaged by Severe Tropical Cyclone Winston, but not yet done before school reopens in 2018. Please address this problem first before you take your next trip overseas. We show our strength on paper to the world that has no idea of the reality. Pardon me, if I am wrong.

COP23 lesson

Here are two things just to begin with, that we could do to start with. Teach people not to burn rubbish, especially plastics and rubber and not to throw rubbish into creeks. That's just two. There is more.

Pay rise

How can FSC afford a 5 per cent pay rise when they have just recorded a substantial loss? What's wrong with them?

Cycle to work

After reading Rick Eyre's question (29/11), I just told myself, "Wooooooo, there's more chances of the sea level decreasing then one, two or any cycling to work." Catching public transport sa qai sega sara.

Strategic plan

While all other rugby playing countries are still planning and looking ahead to the 2019 World Cup, Wales is now a step ahead and is now focused on the post 2019 events. It is contemplating who is to take over from Warren Gatland as Wales coach after the 2019 World Cup. While it will be a choice between Wayne Pivac, Chris Boyd and Dave Rennie, the timing is just amazing. For them, it's a little to do with 'today' but more to do with the 'tomorrow'. That's what we call 'strategic planning.' Hope we have this kind of mind-set at the Fiji Rugby Union headquarters.

Sad revelation

The sad revelation in this newspaper by Fiji Women's Crisis Centre co-ordinator Shamima Ali (FT 28/11) that 18 women lost their lives through domestic violence from 2014 to September this year is a contravention of Section 8 of the Constitution, I believe indeed sections 10 and 11 have been violated too.
