KUSHBU Chand, 17 of Navua yesterday received a 20-piece Clayton dinners set after winning the major prize in the Motibhai's Allowrie Ghee Recipe Competition 2017.

Two out of the three other consolation prize winners from the Central Division also received their prizes of one hamper of assorted cooking oils, courtesy of the Motibhai Group, yesterday.

They were 18-year-old Erica Van Walden of Pacific Harbour and Taraivini Rokoiri, 55, of Nausori while the third, Maharaj Bhindi of Laucala Beach Estate didn't turn up to collect her prize.

The competition, which involved applicants developing and sending in a recipe utilising Allowrie ghee as a main ingredient, started on September 18 and ended on October 31, 2017.

And Ms Chand had developed and sent in a recipe for a Waterlilly Rangoli Diya dish which won her the major prize.

The prizegiving was held at The Fiji Times conference room yesterday with Abraham Gomes, the Motibhai Group marketing and business development manager, presenting the prizes.
