Tonga U20 arrive for two-match tour

Maciu Malo
Sunday, November 26, 2017

THE Tonga under-20 side is here to win, says head coach Faone Bloomfield.

Laced with local players, the side arrived in the country confident of defeating their Fijian counterpart in their two-game tour.

Bloomfield said the Fijians had the advantage of being exposed to the recent world games but it would not deter his side from achieving its objective.

"We are here to win," said Bloomfield.

"We know the games are going to be hard.

"They just came back from the world tournament and they are well prepared. As for us we have just prepared for six weeks but we are going to give them a good challenge."

He said the players knew what was expected of them and would be out to do their best.

The first game will be held at Lautoka's Churchill Park on Tuesday and the second game will be on Saturday.
