NADI Blazers women's 7s team are ready to take on Vonoyauyau in the Kinton Women's quarter-final for the Raka 7s at the ANZ Stadium today.

The western team were undefeated beating Taveuni 40-0 and Bua 24-0 in their pool games.

Captain Merewalesi Rokovono said the girls had improved on their performance this year.

"For the past four years we started off just as a normal team and with the exposure that we had we managed to get some of our girls in to the national squad," she said.

"We've roped in some new girls this year and we want to work on getting them exposed on the type of competition.

"Basically we just want to work on our defence and our ball distribution.

"We also need to work on our game pattern and improve some of our mistakes before our big game today."

She added that one of their main focus is their discipline and teamwork that made them win all their games.
