WITH the rapid increase in use of CCTV systems in Fiji, an information session was held on Thursday by Datec Fiji Ltd and Dahua Technology to update business stakeholders and buyers on the developments in the technology.

Datec general manager Ateen Kumar said they demonstrated their dominance of the Fiji CCTV market during the joint event held at the Grand Pacific Hotel.

Mr Kumar said the use of CCTV systems in Fiji had been increasing rapidly as new advanced features became available and at a lower cost than ever before.

He said rather than being simply a device used for security, CCTV can now be used to solve many problems faced by businesses today because of advanced analytics which are available in the cost-effective camera range.

Dahua Technology marketing director for the Oceania region, Damien White said as a global brand Dahua needed to select only the best partners to work with and Datec was the suitable choice to be their authorised distributor in Fiji.

Dahua Technology regional sales manager for the Pacific, Tim Wo presented projects which Dahua Technology and Datec Fiji Ltd had completed such as Shop N Save, HFC Back and Fiji Ports which demonstrated the ability of the partnership to offer solutions which are suitable for general requirements all the way up to high security complex environments.
