Illegal acts

Has anyone noticed the large number of healthy, fit and unemployed young men standing around Suva market bean cart area, illegally selling cigarette rolls, calling out to passers-by (jibi!) or asking for money? I am sure other people who do marketing have also noticed this common nuisance and illegal acts. Please, relevant authorities look into this matter.

I agree with SODELPA leader Sitiveni Rabuka that there is a lot of work to be undertaken (FT 23/11) after Bonn, Germany. Our large emitters continue regardless. What an effort!

The Taveuni Hospital board of visitors just finished renovating the doctors' quarters. May I ask what has the Lautoka Hospital board of visitors done lately? Do they even still exist?

Pay rise

So FSC has approved a 5 per cent pay increase to its workers after recording an operational loss of $39.6 million in 2017. Mathematically I believe something is not right!

Road issue

The roads in Suva and from what I hear from my brothers in grog in the west, has never ever been so chaotic. Especially in Suva, it has reached stress filled levels that will definitely increase hypertension in our society. In the meantime, the FRA CEO says that staging road projects is not possible. What a load of bull dust.

Lamb pieces

Why are the lamb curry pieces so full of fat? Are they rejects from the country of export? I have noticed some supermarkets cut off the fatty parts and sell them as curry pieces and the family on minimum wage buy it.
