Issued from the National Weather Forecasting Centre Nadi at 5:30am on Friday the 24th of November 2017

Situation: A trough of low pressure with associated cloud and showers over the northern parts of Fiji is gradually moving northwards. It is expected to remain to the north of the group till later Monday when it will drift south towards the group, initially affecting the northern parts and gradually spreading to the rest of the Fiji group.

Forecast to midnight tonight for the Fiji group: Occsional showers and isolated thunderstorms and heavy falls over northern Vanua Levu, Taveuni and nearby smaller islands, interior and eastern parts of the other larger islands. Showers exepected to ease later today. Elsewhere, fine apart from isolated afternoon or eveing showers. Moderate to fresh southeast winds. Rough seas.

Outlook for Saturday : Some showers over eastern parts and interior of the larger islands. Isolated afternoon or evening showers and thunderstorms elsewhere.

For Navua / Suva / Nausori : Cloudy periods with some showers. Outlook for Saturday : Some showers.

For Nadi / Lautoka / Ba : Fine apart from isolated afternoon or evening showers. Outlook for Saturday : Isolated afternoon or evening showers.

For Labasa : Cloudy periods with isolated afternoon or evening showers. Outlook for Saturday : Isolated afternoon or evening showers and thunderstorms.

For Savusavu : Cloudy periods with some showers. Outlook for Saturday : Some showers.

For Rotuma : A trough of low pressure with cloud and showers remains slow moving over Rotuma. Occasional showers, heavy at times and few thunderstorms. Moderate to fresh easterly winds. Moderate to rough seas.

Outlook for Saturday : Showers and thunderstorms continuing.

A STRONG WIND WARNING REMAINS IN FORCE FOR ALL FIJI WATERS.

Situation: A high pressure system to the far south of Fiji directs a strong southeast winds over Fiji waters. Forecast to 6am tomorrow for Fiji waters: Southeast winds 20 to 25 knots. Rough seas. Moderate southeasterly swells.
