Netball thriller looms

THE Digicel Punjas Netball League last round fixture between defending champion Western Zeniths and last year's finalist, Capital Force, is expected to be a thriller.

The Capital Force which is laced with Suva netball team players and some Fiji Pearls, will be out for a win after losing to the Central Swifts last weekend.

The first and second placed team to battle for the top award will be determined after the last round of games this weekend.

Western Zeniths co-coaches Iliseva Drasuna and Lili Bainitabua are expected to name a strong team in their quest to maintain their unbeaten run and to cement their spot for the title play-off.

Drasuna said the game would be tough.

"We are not counting any teams out," she said.

"The Force will be all out to win after their loss last year in the final and most importantly they will want to bounce back after their loss last week."

Drasuna said the Zeniths had found their rhythm after winning their three games early in the competition and would be out for the best against the Force.

Big names who are expected to spearhead the team's campaign are sharp shooter Maliana Rusivakula, Verenaisi Sawana, Alisi Galo and Laniani Naihamu.

"We respect the Force because they have some Fiji Pearls players and they will do their best to win."

The Fiji Pearls reps in the Force side are Lydia Panapasa, Talei Waqainabete, Merelita Waqanidrola and Afa Rusivakula.

The games will be held at Lawaqa Park, Sigatoka, on Saturday.
