FIJI Airways' managing director and CEO Andre Viljoen says, Fiji Airways was delighted to extend their agreement with Qantas to new destinations, reflecting their continued commitment to travelling Australians.

"This agreement offers the best possible connections to Fiji via Sydney and Brisbane, giving more Australians the option to say 'Bula' to Fiji sooner," Mr Viljoen said.

The Fiji national airline CEO made the comments after they announced on Wednesday that more destinations have been added to their codeshare agreement with Qantas, signalling easier travel for all Australians to Fiji.

A company press release on the issue said customers could now travel on one-ticket to Nadi from major Australian cities and regional areas, including Perth, Hobart, Canberra, Darwin, Townsville and Rockhampton, with quick connections via Sydney or Brisbane.

"In as little as four hours, Fiji Airways offers direct services from Sydney (twice daily), as well as from Brisbane (daily), Melbourne (five times a week) and Adelaide (twice weekly). The full-service airline, famous for its friendly Fijian hospitality, also offers onward connections to the United States, including Los Angeles, San Francisco and also Honolulu, Hawaii," the release said.

The company said Fiji Airways also offered the most convenient connections through its Nadi gateway to more South Pacific islands countries.
